Mount Sinai

The second of our overnight trips takes you over 2200meters high into the Sinai mountains to where Moses received the 10 commandments. You leave the hotel late at night so you will be at the top of Mount Sinai for sunrise and also means you are not walking in the heat of the sun. The path ascending is taken by a variety of nationalities and cultures and the torch lights snake all the way to the top to the chapel of the Holy Trinity. After watching the sunrise you descend the mountain along the path with 3,750 steps taking you down to the bottom in time for the opening of St Catherine's Monastery (Please refer separate information).

In the cooler winter months it is possible to do this trip during the day.
