Your journey from the airport in Sharm El Sheikh takes around 1 hour and passes quickly while you enjoy the stunning scenery of the Sinai Mountains and desert. Dahab started life as a place visited only by The Bedouin in the summer months, for the gentle breeze and abundant supply of fish. Gradually travellers and tourists arrived, and Dahab is now a very charming small town that has retained its Bedouin beginnings. Around the bay there are plenty of beach side cafés and restaurants for you to enjoy and banter with the shop keepers which is all part of Dahab life.
